Repas Solitude

salmon.jpg
Mr. Chavallier, Chef par excellance at the Solitude, has given 30 years of service at the Motherhouse. He was hired by Sr. Madeleine Sophie and for special events has wowed sisters and guests alike with his art of presentation and culinary expertise. Pictured here are some of his specialties from Christmas 2009. Mr. Chavallier nourishes both body and spirit!

How sweet it is...and chocolate, too! And the trays hold a reminder, "Keep your words sweet and tender because tomorrow you may have to eat them."
basket_on_table.jpg
This 100% eatable basket is an almond brittle with icing sculptured flowers. It holds a variety of homemade cookies and pastries. As a Church family we recall that faith without works is dead. (James 2:26) How do I use my talents and gifts in service to the local and global community?

Lord Jesus, source of all that is good, you inspired Blessed Basil Moreau
to found the religious family of Holy Cross to continue your mission
among the People of God. May he be for us a model of the apostolic life,
an example of fidelity and an inspiration as we strive to follow you.
May we imitate Basil Moreau’s holiness and confidently seek his intercession
before you, Lord Jesus, in our times of need. Amen.
