Young women in Burkina Faso, Africa are discerning a vocation to religious life.  Our Marianites of Holy Cross Congregation is in the process of opening a mission there to bring a presence of Jesus’ love and compassion and to journey with these young women in their vocation discernment.

In December 2009, Sr. Pascaline Tougma, who is native to Burkina Faso, guided Srs. Suellen Tennyson and Sylvia Asselin on a visit to Burkina Faso, Africa, where they experienced amazing hospitality. The Marianites have since opened a mission there and are running the John Paul II Medical Centre.
